Moby ID: 184541
Description
The First Book of Tiny BASIC Programs is a book containing listings of various programs in Tiny BASIC, a variant of BASIC designed specifically to use little memory on bare-bones microcomputers. Besides a data logger, spreadsheet calculator and a disassembler, a number of games are also included:
- The Kingdom of Euphoria - A variant of Hamurabi/The Sumer Game. The player plays the role of the king and each year must determine the amount of grain to plant or store in order to keep the population fed and growing.
- Flashcard: A Math Drill - An arithmetic drill featuring sums, differences, products and quotients.
- Tiny BASIC Adventure Game - A text adventure game written in Tiny BASIC. The program describes various locations and the player can move from location to location, grab items and do basic interactions. The text interpreter is fairly simple and relies on the player simply typing the first letter of an object that the player wants to interact with.
