Description official descriptions

Desktop Dungeons is the commercial continuation of its freeware predecessor Desktop Dungeons (2010). Although basic dungeon crawling features remain similar, this is an entirely new game, both graphically in addition to minor strategic gameplay elements, as well as a storyline. In this version, the player is now controls a kingdom, sending heroes to explore the land to vanquish monsters that threaten the kingdom.

Kingdom

A new minor feature in the game introduces the option to purchase and upgrade buildings, which will enable access to new hero classes and further increase their abilities. New building options are usually unlocked after the player successfully completes a new quest. As the game progresses, the player may choose to complete any quest in a non-linear sequence, each quest having different rewards and may unlock different features in the game.
