Sonic X

Sonic X is an educational game that mixes platform jumping with math problems. Amy Rose, Knuckles and Tails have been captured by Dr. Eggman and the player has to help Sonic in rescuing them. To be able to do so Sonic has to get past Dr. Eggman's robots by correctly answering the math problems while at the same time collecting gold rings to earn emeralds.

The game is graphically similar to earlier Sonic games and the player controls the hedgehog from a side view perspective as he runs, jumps and spin-dashes through the levels. This game however does not have any enemies other than the robots that provide the math problems. There are three zones each with different operations: Station Square, Angel Island and Eggman's Base. The first one features identification, counting, sequencing, number/object association and skip counting by 2s, 5s and 10s. The second level features addition, while the final one features subtraction. Additionally there are three different mini-games, one for each zone. These appear within the levels or can be played on their own.
