Stephen Kick is an American gamer developer who earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Game Art & Design at the Art Institute of California: San Francisco in 2007 where he was awarded "Best Portfolio" for his graduating class. Specializing in character art Stephen was hired to help indie studio Paleo Entertainment finish development of Merchants of Brooklyn one of the first non-Crytek games powered by the CryEngine.
Stephen was then hired by Sony Online Entertainment Inc. to create characters for it's latest game, Free Realms followed by Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures and finally PlanetSide 2. Stephen left SOE in 2012 and formed Night Dive Studios, a game publisher that specializes in finding classic video games to re-release on GOG and Steam with optimizations and updates allowing them to be played on newer hardware and operating systems. In February 2013 Night Dive Studios re-released System Shock 2 on GOG, and then on Steam a few months later. To date Night Dive Studios has re-released over 90 classic games on Steam.
