Contrail was a second-party development and production house owned by Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. It was established on October 14, 1997 and headed by Takahiro Kaneko. As a division of Sony, Contrail oversaw development of a number of titles, most notably the Wild Arms and Alundra series.
Contrail ceased to exist in August 2000 when SCEI consolidated its internal development.
