Overview edit · view history
SEGA Racing Studio was a SEGA development studio based in Solihull a suburb of Birmingham City, in the heart of the West-Midlands of the UK.
The division opened its doors in April 2005 with the aim of creating games based around driving or racing. Its experienced staff have previously worked at Codemasters, Rockstar, Rare, Criterion, Sony as well as many other worldwide studios.
After an evaluation of SEGA's western division, the studio was closed early April 2008, leaving behind a single published game: SEGA Rally Revo. According to a press release the studio would not make enough profit in five years time to justify its existence.
In late April 2008 Codemasters announced it had reached an agreement to take control of the studio.
