Biography edit · view history

Dave Tomandl has been into computer games all of his life. When he was four years old, he was dialing up to the University of Washington's computers to play Pac Man. He went through a pretty wide range of console systems while growing up, beginning with the Atari 2600 and ending with the Super Nintendo. Then he found the wide world of PC games, and he has been immersed in it ever since. His father used to tease, "Putting video game high scores on your resume isn't going to get you hired." Dave loves programming, and he loves games, so it seemed obvious enough; get a computer science degree, and find some way to break into the video game industry.

He still considers Total Annihilation the best Real-Time Strategy game yet, so he was pleased and honored to have an opportunity to work at GPG. Now he spends his time making in-house tools and helping the level designers make the world of Dungeon Siege come alive.
