WayForward owns and operates a 10,000 square foot facility, located at 27931 Smyth Drive in Valencia, California. It is located about 45 minutes North of Los Angeles and 30 minutes North of the Burbank Airport. They are licensed Wii, NDS, PSP, PS3, PS2, Xbox, AGB, CGB, and GameCube developers. They are also equipped as a fully functional animation house with capabilities including scan & color, digitizing, pencil testing, music and sfx production, and video editing. As part of their emphasis on 3D modeling and animation, they maintain state-of-the art 3D software packages and hardware rendering capabilities.

History

• WayForward Technologies was founded in March of 1990 to create console games. The team produced products for a variety of platforms including Game Boy, Game Gear, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, PC and Macintosh. One of the most notable early successes was the Windows Fun Pack, which sold over 350,000 units.
• In 1994, the team created a partnership with American Education Publishing of Columbus, Ohio. Included in the successes of this period were two 1995 CES Innovations Awards (for the products Muppets Beginning Sounds and Muppets Same and Different), as well as the 1994 CES Best New Media Award (for the product Brighter Child Math Challenge).
• In April of 1997, WayForward Technologies restarted its contract game development business, providing services to software publishers. They have developed over fifty products since that time for various clients. Their products consistently receive press accolades and market success.
