Philo Northrup is currently Co-Founder of enVie Interactive, creator of the VIE: Virtual Island of Entertainment.

Northrup was Executive Producer for Business Development for Foundation 9/Backbone Entertainment from 2001-2007, which grew into the largest independent games development company in North America while he was there. His position focused on acquiring new business and managing the company’s six studios.

Since 1994 he was Producer or Executive Producer on over 50 games & animation projects for the leading publishers & developers. These projects are listed on his philo.com website.

Companies worked at are EZD Productions, Foundation 9 Entertainment, Backbone Entertainment, ImaginEngine, Mondo Media, Brøderbund Software and Living Books.

Northrup has a law degree from the University of Oregon (focus on copyright & trademark law), and a BA from Vanderbilt University.
