Outcry
Description official description
Outcry is a point and click adventure game which delves into the surreal, philosophical themes and the paranormal.
The main character is a writer whose brother sends him a very confusing letter with an invitation to come see him. This is quite strange in itself since they haven't seen each other in many years. Curious, he heads out wondering what it is his brother wants to see him about. Upon reaching his destination, his brother isn't there and he discovers notes and diary pages about an unusual machine. This machine, according to his brother's documents, has the ability to separate the mind and body to transcend one's consciousness through a type of time warp.
Played in first person, you take the role of the unnamed writer as he tries to understand what was left behind and how to find his brother. There are many unusual puzzles to solve that range in difficulty. Some are mechanical, one is musical, and some require the proper objects to solve. Soft background music plays throughout, there are sound effects, and the environment can be panned 360 degrees.
