New milestone! This week we hit 500k critic reviews in the database.
MobyPro access has been expanded to contributors with >50k+ points and to past Patrons. Simply go here to unlock it for free.
And speaking of MobyPro, a new feature was added to releases page that compiles all companies into a single display. Did you know that at least 96(!) companies either worked on or contributed to Baldur's Gate III?
Changelog:
- Added more information to Most Wanted results, plus sorting
- Added "expand all" feature and preference to Critic Reviews table (it will remember whether you last had it expanded or collapsed)
- Added "nofollow" attributes to contribution links so good bots can avoid unnecessary pages
- Added link to an unnofficial OCR tool on the credits submission form
- Added missing contribution links to bottom of game overview pages
- Now accepting YouTube Shorts URLs for credit submissions
- Game covers contribution page now displays what covers/images were submitted and when
- Game description contribution page now displays what description was submitted and when
- Contributors can now pull contributions of the same type (e.g., screenshots) as a group as opposed to individually
- Genre additions now happen immediately
- Reworked promo image contribution tool/flow
- Fixed searching for multiple new companies on releases
- Fixed issue with credits tool not retaining typed name for a person in credits entry
- Fixed issue with Firefox not being able to select companies in releases listings
- Fixed bug when adding unreleased Steam games
- Fixed bug with critic scores rated as "F" displaying as "Unscored" as opposed to 0%
- Fixed error messages that contain HTML
- Approvers: Can now pull information for unreleased Steam games
- MobyPro: Added new feature to releases page that compiles all companies into a single display
- MobyPro: Early access has been expanded from approvers to contributors with >50k points and past Patrons
- MobyPro: Fixed permission error on developer collaborations
- MobyPro: Can download original promo images, in addition to game covers and screenshots
- Misc. bug fixes, UI polish, error messaging improvements

Hey great release!
I'm still seeing the F and F- showing up as Unscored in Critics pages though. Check "The Video Game Critic", sort by score and you'll see. In other words, you have fixed the issue on the game pages reviews section but not on the Critics pages. I guess it has just been an oversight and you can fix it easily as you're doing other much harder and important fixes...
Also, on the game pages reviews, for those reviews which are effectively 0% (whichever the conversion, whether 0/10, F-....or whatever), the original score given by the critic isn't displayed when you expand the critic. Take "Big Rigs over the road racing". You'll notice that if you expand the Critics which gave it a 0% (after converting), it doesn't display their original score.
Just nitpicking but it is a minor bug.
Anyways great work! Today I noticed Metacritic have overhauled their website and improved certain things although it's nowhere near as good as Mobygames! Still, I was surprised to see them change it. I've never seen it look like that, definitely improved but there are inconsistencies in their design and search filters.
Just as a sidenote. I remember you included something called "Top Critics" in some release (not mentioned in the notes) about a month ago but then removed it. Any follow up on that?
Oh and of course before I forget, incredible Milestone reaching 500k critic reviews! Noticed Tim Janssen lately contributes a crazy amount of those, like 2000 a month?
Just wondering, any estimated release date for the full Moby Feed version? Is it going to include Critic reviews as well? Are you guys planning on making the Contributors section include filtering for all the different kinds of contributions posted, like on the old website?

I have already explained this to Bozzly, but it seems he is unwilling to accept this rule of ours.

I'm wondering: Has MobyPro been unlocked for past patrons already as the announcement says? I donated to MobyGames both on the very old website (where I got the yellow star) and via Patreon, but when I open https://www.mobygames.com/mobypro/ it just says:
Sorry, MobyPro is currently only available to approvers, long time prolific contributors, and past Patrons.
Check back in the coming weeks as we expand access!

When submitting promo images the old site had an option to set type for all images. For example, if I add a hundred wallpapers now I have to set type to Wallpaper for each image individually. Also on the old site for wallpapers it showed the resolution underneath. Now you have to click on each image to see what resolution it is. When there's several res options wallpapers available (basically from 640x480 to 1920x1080) it gets kinda inconvenient clicking on each to see if it's the res you're looking for.
Also, I tried submitting an ASIN code for Brandish Special Box '97 https://www.amazon.co.jp/-/en/dp/B074Z79LKY which was rejected by MobyGames with the message "ASIN reported invalid by Amazon API." What's up with that? Does it only accepts ASINs from amazon.com?

Yeah, just for Amazon.com
Thanks for the feedback re: submitting promo images. We'll do a pass on that.

Is there any chance the paging limit can be removed? It seriously limits the experience on the site

Oh, thank you for answering my question, but who will MobyPro be available to? Will it eventually be a paid subscription or something like that?
