Loading for 30-40 minutes to play once... great times indeed!
The Good
The graphics in this game were astounding, my Atari 800XL would sweat for about 35 minutes loading this game from 2 sides of the cassette. After this finally the game started, and up I went in the mosquito to stop the Nazi's...Soon I came under fire from a fighter......bullet holes appeared in the front windshield...an engine was on fire...it was all over...dead. And so the ritual started all over again, "loading" the screen said again for 35 minutes! Great fun.
The Bad
Loading it from cassette.
The Bottom Line
A great WWII flight simulator at that time. Bullet holes appear in the windows during dog fights, engines would catch on fire and you could extinguish them, it is possible to look around in the cockpit, varied missions... including bombing trains or shooting down other planes etc. At the age of 14 in 1987 I was sure I would become a pilot, so this game was my cup of tea... Funny how life doesn't turn out as you plan!
